Concerning Dammeseq: “Ḥamath and Arpaḏ have been put to shame, for they have heard an evil report. They have been melted in anxiety, like the sea, unable to rest.


Then they captured the sovereign and brought him up to the sovereign of Baḇel at Riḇlah in the land of Ḥamath, and he pronounced judgments on him.


"Ḥamath, Bĕrothah, Siḇrayim, which is between the border of Dammeseq and the border of Ḥamath, Ḥatsar Hattiḵon, which is on the border of Ḥawran.


Pass over to Kalneh and see, and from there go to Ḥamath the great. Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these reigns, or is their border greater than your border?


And the children of Yisra’ĕl, all the congregation, came into the Wilderness of Tsin in the first new moon, and the people stayed in Qaḏĕsh. And Miryam died there and was buried there.


“because you rebelled against My mouth in the Wilderness of Tsin, in the strife of the congregation, to set Me apart at the waters before their eyes. These were the waters of Meriḇah, at Qaḏĕsh in the Wilderness of Tsin.


And they departed from Etsyon Geḇer and camped in the Wilderness of Tsin, which is Qaḏĕsh.


from Mount Hor you mark out your border to the entrance of Ḥamath, and the edge of the border shall be toward Tseḏaḏ,


“And they turned and went up into the mountains, and came to the wadi Eshkol, and spied it out.

and the land of the Geḇalites, and all Leḇanon, toward the sunrise, from Ba‛al Gaḏ below Mount Ḥermon as far as the entrance to Ḥamath;


And the lot of the tribe of the children of Yehuḏah for their clans was to the border of Eḏom, the Wilderness of Tsin southward in the extreme south.


And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Tsiḏon, and they had no word with anyone. And it was in the valley that belongs to Bĕyth Reḥoḇ. And they rebuilt the city and dwelt there.
