Numbers 10:10 - The Scriptures 2009

10 And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed times, and at the beginning of your new moons, you shall blow the trumpets over your ascending offerings and over your slaughterings of peace offerings. And they shall be a remembrance for you before your Elohim. I am יהוה your Elohim.”

And he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the new moon nor the sabbath.” And she said, “It is well!”


and Sheḇanyahu, and Yoshaphat, and Nethan’ĕl, and Amasai, and Zeḵaryahu, and Benayahu, and Eli‛ezer, the priests, were to blow the trumpets before the ark of Elohim. And Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom and Yeḥiyah, were doorkeepers for the ark.


So all Yisra’ĕl brought up the ark of the covenant of יהוה with shouting and with a voice of a shophar, with trumpets and with cymbals, sounding with harps and lyres.


and with them Hĕman and Yeḏuthun, to sound aloud with trumpets and cymbals and instruments for the songs of Elohim, and the sons of Yeḏuthun for the gate.


And the Lĕwites stood with the instruments of Dawiḏ, and the priests with the trumpets.


And all the assembly were bowing, and the singers singing, and the trumpeters blowing – all this until the ascending offering was completed.


And the priests were standing over their duties, and the Lĕwites with instruments of the song to יהוה, which Sovereign Dawiḏ had made to give thanks to יהוה, saying, “For His loving-commitment is everlasting,” whenever Dawiḏ praised by their hand. And the priests were blowing trumpets before them, and all Yisra’ĕl were standing.


And when the builders laid the foundation of the Hĕḵal of יהוה, they appointed the priests in their robes, with trumpets, and the Lĕwites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise יהוה, after the order of Dawiḏ sovereign of Yisra’ĕl.


and of the sons of the priests with trumpets: Zeḵaryah son of Yonathan, son of Shemayah, son of Mattanyah, son of Miḵayah, son of Zakkur, son of Asaph,


Praise Him with the blowing of a shophar; Praise Him with the harp and lyre!


Blow a shophar in the New Moon, in the covering for the day of our festival.


For this is a law for Yisra’ĕl, And a right-ruling of the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ.


Blessed are the people Who know the sounding! They walk, O יהוה, in the light of Your face.


“And Aharon shall bear the names of the sons of Yisra’ĕl on the breastplate of right-ruling over his heart, when he goes into the set-apart place, for a remembrance before יהוה, continually.


And you shall take the silver for the atonement from the children of Yisra’ĕl, and give it for the service of the Tent of Appointment. And it shall be to the children of Yisra’ĕl for a remembrance before יהוה, to make atonement for yourselves.


And in that day it shall be that a great shophar is blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Ashshur and the outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim shall come, and shall worship יהוה on the set-apart mountain, in Yerushalayim.


Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh new moon, on the first day of the new moon, you have a rest, a remembrance of Teru‛ah,


“And when you go into battle in your land against the enemy that distresses you, then you shall shout with the trumpets, and you shall be remembered before יהוה your Elohim, and you shall be saved from your enemies.


And on the beginnings of your new moons you bring near an ascending offering to יהוה: two young bulls and one ram, and seven lambs a year old, perfect ones;


‘And in the seventh new moon, on the first day of the new moon, you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work, it is Yom Teru‛ah


“Come to Me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest.


And looking intently at him, and becoming afraid, he said, “What is it, master?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your kind deeds have come up for a remembrance before Elohim.


in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.


Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.


So, then, encourage one another with these words.


“Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Yardĕn were cut off before the ark of the covenant of יהוה. When it passed over the Yardĕn, the waters of the Yardĕn were cut off. And these stones shall be for a remembrance to the children of Yisra’ĕl forever.”


“And let seven priests bear seven shopharot of the yoḇelim before the ark, and on the seventh day go around the city seven times while the priests blow with the shopharot.


And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And he who hears, let him say, “Come!” And he who thirsts, come! And he who desires it, take the water of life without paying!


And Dawiḏ said to Yehonathan, “See, tomorrow is the new moon, and I ought to sit with the sovereign to eat. But let me go, and I shall hide in the field until the third day at evening.
