But Yĕhu did not guard to walk in the Torah of יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl with all his heart. For he did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin.

“And they come to you as people do, and they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them. For with their mouth they show much love – their hearts pursue their greedy gain.


“Therefore, O sovereign, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your crookednesses by showing favour to the poor – your prosperity might be extended.”


“And it shall be in that day that the prophets shall be ashamed, everyone of his vision when he prophesies, and not put a hairy robe on in order to deceive,


“Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, ‘When you fasted and lamented in the fifth and seventh months all these seventy years, did you truly fast for Me – for Me?


For the Son of Aḏam is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.


And יהושע said to them, “Mind! And beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”


“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the reign of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.


And they do all their works to be seen by men, and they make their t’fillen wide and lengthen the tzitzit of their garments,


“And the Sovereign shall answer and say to them, ‘Truly, I say to you, in so far as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’


Let your light so shine before men, so that they see your good works and praise your Father who is in the heavens.


“For if you love those loving you, what reward have you? Are the tax collectors not doing the same too?


Therefore, be perfect, as your Father in the heavens is perfect.


“And when you fast, do not be sad-faced like the hypocrites. For they disfigure their faces so that they appear to be fasting to men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward.


“This, then, is the way you should pray: ‘Our Father who is in the heavens, let Your Name be set-apart,


And He was warning them, saying, “Mind! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herodes.”


“See to it therefore that the light which is in you is not darkness.


Meanwhile, when an innumerable crowd of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His taught ones, first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.


And He said to them, “Mind, and beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the excess of his possessions.”


so He said to them, “You are those who declare yourselves righteous before men, but Elohim knows your hearts, because what is highly thought of among men is an abomination in the sight of Elohim.


for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of Elohim.


How are you able to believe, when you are receiving esteem from one another, and the esteem that is from the only Elohim you do not seek?”


And seeing it, Kĕpha responded to the people, “Men of Yisra’ĕl, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or reverence we have made him walk?


As many as wish to make a good show in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only so that they should not be persecuted for the stake of Messiah.


“By all means return the pledge to him at sundown, and he shall sleep in his own garment, and shall bless you. And it shall be righteousness to you before יהוה your Elohim.


deeming the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures in Mitsrayim, for he was looking to the reward.


Because of this we have to pay more attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away.


For Elohim is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His Name, in that you have attended to the set-apart ones, and still attend.


See to yourselves, that we do not lose what we worked for, but that we might receive a complete reward.
