After these events the word of יהוה came to Aḇram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Aḇram. I am your shield, your reward is exceedingly great.”


“Was it not reported to my master what I did when Izeḇel killed the prophets of יהוה, how I hid one hundred men of the prophets of יהוה, fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?


And it came to be, while Izeḇel cut down the prophets of יהוה, that Oḇaḏyahu had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.


Izeḇel sent a messenger to Ěliyahu, saying, “So let the mighty ones do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”


And Aḥaḇ said to Ěliyahu, “Have you found me, O my enemy?” And he answered, “I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do evil in the eyes of יהוה:


And the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl said to Yehoshaphat, “There is still one man, Miḵayehu son of Yimlah, to inquire of יהוה by him. But I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” And Yehoshaphat said, “Let not the sovereign say so!”


He then sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he went up to him, and see, he was sitting on the top of a hill. And he spoke to him, “Man of Elohim, the sovereign has said, ‘Come down!’ ”


And Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in prison, for he was enraged at him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.


But they were mocking the messengers of Elohim and despising His words and scoffing at His prophets, until the wrath of יהוה arose against His people, until there was no healing.


“But they became disobedient and rebelled against You, and cast Your Torah behind their backs. And they kill Your prophets who had warned them, to bring them back to Yourself. And they worked great blasphemies.


Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward.


And man says, “Truly, the righteous are rewarded; Truly, there is an Elohim judging in the earth.”


The wrong one earns false wages, But the one sowing righteousness, a true reward.


“Say to the righteous it is well, for they eat the fruit of their doings.


“In vain have I stricken your children – they received no instruction. Your sword has devoured your prophets like a destroying lion.


And it came to be, when Yirmeyahu had ended speaking all that יהוה had commanded him to speak to all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, “You shall certainly die!


But Yirmeyahu said, “It is a lie! I am not deserting to the Kasdim.” But he did not listen to him, and Yiriyah seized Yirmeyahu and brought him to the heads.


For the Son of Aḏam is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.


“And when you fast, do not be sad-faced like the hypocrites. For they disfigure their faces so that they appear to be fasting to men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward.


Yerushalayim, Yerushalayim, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her! How often I wished to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you would not!”


“Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for look, your reward is great in the heaven, for that is how their fathers treated the prophets.


Rather, love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting none in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be sons of the Most High. Because He is kind to the thankless and wicked ones.


And at midnight Sha’ul and Silas were praying and singing songs to Elohim, and the prisoners were listening to them.


Then indeed they went rejoicing from the presence of the council, because they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name.


And not only this, but we also exult in pressures, knowing that pressure works endurance;


And he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.


For this slight momentary pressure is working for us a far more exceeding and everlasting weight of esteem.


Because to you it has been given as a favour, on behalf of Messiah, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,


In fact, even if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the offering and service of your belief, I am glad and rejoice with you all.


who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in Messiah’s afflictions, for the sake of His Body, which is the assembly,


knowing that from the Master you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Master, Messiah, you serve.


who killed both the Master יהושע and their own prophets, and have persecuted us, and who displease Elohim and are hostile to all men,


for you sympathised with me in my chains, and you accepted with joy the seizure of your possessions, knowing that you have a better and a lasting possession for yourselves in the heavens.


deeming the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures in Mitsrayim, for he was looking to the reward.


who through belief, overcame reigns, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,


But without belief it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Elohim has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.


My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,


My brothers, as an example of suffering and patience, take the prophets, who spoke in the Name of יהוה.


but as you share Messiah’s sufferings, rejoice, in order that you might rejoice exultingly at the revelation of His esteem.


“יהוה repay your work, and your reward is complete from יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge.”
