“And he was reasoning within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, because I have no room to store my crops?’


“And crying out he said, ‘Father Aḇraham, have compassion on me, and send El‛azar to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame.’


But He answering, said to them, “I say to you that if these shall be silent, the stones would cry out.”


“Therefore bear fruit worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Aḇraham as our father.’ For I say to you that Elohim is able to raise up children to Aḇraham from these stones.


And יהושע, knowing their thoughts, answering, said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts?


And when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This One, if He were a prophet, would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”


They answered Him, “We are the seed of Aḇraham, and have been servants to no one at any time. How do you say, ‘You shall become free’?”


“I know that you are the seed of Aḇraham, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.


Are You greater than our father Aḇraham, who died? And the prophets died. Whom do You make Yourself?


“Men, brothers, sons of the race of Aḇraham, and those among you fearing Elohim, to you the word of this deliverance has been sent,


“Shim‛on has declared how Elohim first visited the nations to take out of them a people for His Name.


What, then, shall we say Aḇraham our father, to have found, according to the flesh?
