27 “But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you shall find a stater. Take that and give it to them for Me and you.”

But יהוה appointed a great fish to swallow Yonah. And Yonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.


Then יהוה spoke to the fish, and it vomited Yonah onto the dry land.


Kĕpha then said to Him, “From the strangers.” יהושע said to him, “Then the sons are exempt.


“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him that a millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea.


“And if your hand or foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be thrown into the everlasting fire.


And if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom.


“And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom.


And whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.


“And if your hand makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two hands, to go into GĕHinnom, into the unquenchable fire,


“It would be better for him if a millstone is put around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.


But יהושע knowing within Himself that His taught ones were grumbling about this, said to them, “Does this make you stumble?


It is good not to eat meat or drink wine, nor to do whatever by which your brother stumbles.


Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I am never again going to eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.


But look to it, lest somehow this right of yours becomes a stumbling-block to those who are weak.


giving no cause of stumbling in whatever, so that the service is not blamed.


For you know the favour of our Master יהושע Messiah, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich through His poverty.


Keep back from every form of wickedness.


Listen, my beloved brothers: Has Elohim not chosen the poor of this world, rich in belief and heirs of the reign which He promised to those who love Him?
