Do not trust in oppression. And do not become vain in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.


He who trusts in his riches falls, But the righteous flourish like a leaf.


Do you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle to the heavens.


There is one, without a second, who has neither son nor brother. And there is no end to all his labours. His eye also is not satisfied with riches. “And for whom am I toiling and depriving myself of good?” That too is futility, and an evil task.


For this is what יהוה said to the men of Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim, “Break up your tillable ground, and do not sow among thorns.


“And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Aḏam, it shall be forgiven him, but whoever speaks against the Set-apart Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.


and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. And the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the messengers.


“As the darnel, then, is gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be at the end of this age.


“And others fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them.


And He said to them, “Mind, and beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the excess of his possessions.”


“So is he who is storing up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward Elohim.”


“And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down by gluttony, and drunkenness, and worries of this life, and that day come on you suddenly.


“And that which fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with worries, and riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.


And Shim‛on, seeing that through the laying on of the hands of the emissaries the Set-apart Spirit was given, he offered them money,


And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.


Where is the wise? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Has not Elohim made foolish the wisdom of this world?


Yet we speak wisdom among those who are perfect, and not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age that are being brought to naught.


which no one of the rulers of this age knew, for if they had known, they would not have impaled the Master of esteem.


Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he might become wise.


in whom the mighty one of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that the enlightening of the Good News of the esteem of Messiah, who is the likeness of Elohim, does not shine on them.


who gave Himself for our sins, to deliver us out of this present wicked age, according to the desire of our Elohim and Father,


in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience,


Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living Elohim, who gives us richly all for enjoyment,


for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and went to Thessalonike, Crescens to Galatia, Titos to Dalmatia.
