Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from You.”


A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah. And He left them and went away.


And having looked around on them with displeasure, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.


And He marvelled because of their unbelief. And He was going around among the villages, teaching.


And looking up to the heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.”


And leaving them, again entering into the boat, He went away to the other side.


And He answered him and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me.”


And as He came near, He saw the city and wept over it,
