And Yitsḥaq prayed to יהוה for his wife, because she was barren. And יהוה answered his prayer, and Riḇqah his wife conceived.


And Miḵal the daughter of Sha’ul had no children to the day of her death.


He shall swallow up death forever, and the Master יהוה shall wipe away tears from all faces, and take away the reproach of His people from all the earth. For יהוה has spoken.


And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, “We shall eat our own food and wear our own clothes; only let us be called by your name, to take away our reproach.”


But the messenger said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zeḵaryah, for your prayer is heard. And your wife Elisheḇa shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Yoḥanan.


And after those days his wife Elisheḇa conceived. And she hid herself five months, saying,


By belief also, Sarah herself was enabled to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the normal age, because she deemed Him trustworthy who had promised.


And she said to her father, “Let this be done for me: let me alone for two new moons, and let me go and wander on the mountains and bewail my maidenhood, my friends and I.”


Moreover, her rival also provoked her greatly, to make her irritable, because יהוה had shut up her womb.
