6 And יהוה said to Yehoshua, “Do not be afraid of their presence, for tomorrow about this time I am giving all of them over to Yisra’ĕl, slain. Hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

And he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”


Go down against them tomorrow. See, they are coming up by the ascent of Tsits, and you shall find them at the end of the wadi before the Wilderness of Yeru’ĕl.


Be still, and know that I am Elohim; I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth!


יהוה of hosts is with us; The Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ is our refuge. Selah.


Causing all fighting to cease, Unto the end of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariot with fire.


The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.


and you said, “No, for we flee upon horses,” therefore you flee! And, “We ride on swift horses,” therefore those who pursue you are swift!


Woe to those who go down to Mitsrayim for help, and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but who do not look to the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, nor seek יהוה!


“And those who inhabit the cities of Yisra’ĕl shall go out and set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and armour, the bows and arrows, the clubs and spears. And they shall make fires with them for seven years,


“Ashshur does not save us. We do not ride on horses, nor ever again do we say to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones.’ For the fatherless finds compassion in You.”


“See, I am against you,” declares יהוה of hosts, “and I shall burn your chariots in smoke, and the sword devour your young lions. And I shall cut off your prey from the earth, and no longer is the voice of your messengers heard.”


“And you shall consume all the peoples whom יהוה your Elohim is delivering over to you – your eye shall not pardon them. And do not serve their mighty ones, for that is a snare to you.


And יהוה said to Yehoshua, “Do not fear them, for I have given them into your hand. Not one of them does stand before you.”


And all these sovereigns met together, and they came and camped together at the waters of Mĕrom to fight against Yisra’ĕl.


And Yehoshua, and all the soldiers with him, came against them suddenly by the waters of Mĕrom, and they fell on them.


And Yehoshua did to them as יהוה said to him: he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.


And Yehoshua said to the people, “Set yourselves apart, for tomorrow יהוה is doing wonders in your midst.”


and Pineḥas son of El‛azar, son of Aharon, stood before it in those days – saying, “Should I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Binyamin, or should I cease?” And יהוה said, “Go up, for tomorrow I give them into your hand.”


And it came to be, on that night, that יהוה said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have given it into your hand.


And they said to the messengers who came, “Say this to the men of Yaḇĕsh Gil‛aḏ, ‘Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you shall have help.’ ” Then the messengers came and informed the men of Yaḇĕsh, and they rejoiced.
