and they shall turn back to You with all their heart and with all their being in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and shall pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the House which I have built for Your Name,


then I shall cut off Yisra’ĕl from the face of the soil which I have given them, and send away from My presence this house which I have set apart for My Name. And Yisra’ĕl shall be a proverb and a mockery among all the peoples.

And I, I have said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes,” Yet You heard the voice of my prayers When I cried out to You.


By day יהוה commands His loving-commitment, And by night His song is with me; A prayer to the Ěl of my life.


But I, I enter Your house In the greatness of Your loving-commitment; I bow myself toward Your set-apart Hĕḵal in Your fear.


You have put me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the depths.


Your wrath has rested heavily upon me, And You have afflicted me with all Your breakers. Selah.


“See, for peace I had what was bitter, bitter. But You have lovingly delivered my being from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back.


But Tsiyon says, “יהוה has forsaken me, and יהוה has forgotten me.”


And יהוה said to me, “Even if Mosheh and Shemu’ĕl were to stand before Me, My being is not toward this people. Send them away from My presence, let them go.


“And I shall cast you out of My presence, as I have cast out all your brothers, all the seed of Ephrayim.


Waters flowed over my head; I said, “I am cut off!”


And He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are all the house of Yisra’ĕl. See, they say, ‘Our bones are dry, our expectancy has perished, and we ourselves have been cut off!’


And Dani’ĕl, when he knew that the writing was signed, went home and in his upper room with his windows open toward Yerushalayim he knelt down on his knees three times a day, and prayed and gave thanks before his Elah, as he had done before.


“When my life fainted within me, I remembered יהוה. And my prayer went up to You, into Your set-apart Hĕḵal.
