By belief, Noaḥ, having been warned of what was yet unseen, having feared, prepared an ark to save his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to belief.


“And as the days of Noaḥ, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aḏam be.


even though Noaḥ, Dani’ĕl, and Iyoḇ were in it, as I live,” declares the Master יהוה, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter. They would deliver their own lives by their righteousness.”

who were disobedient at one time when the patience of Elohim waited in the days of Noaḥ, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight beings, were saved through water,


of Qĕynan, of Arpaḵshaḏ, of Shĕm, of Noaḥ, of Lemeḵ,


So He wiped off all that stand, which were on the face of the ground – both man and beast, creeping creature and bird of the heavens. And they were wiped off from the earth. And only Noaḥ was left, and those with him in the ark.


For the creation was subjected to futility, not from choice, but because of Him who subjected it, in anticipation,


And Lemeḵ lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and brought forth a son,


And after he brought forth Noaḥ, Lemeḵ lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and brought forth sons and daughters.
