and he saw that a resting place was good, and that the land was pleasant, and he inclined his shoulder to bear a burden, and became a subject to slave labour.


and the children of Yissasḵar who had understanding of the times, to know what Yisra’ĕl should do, their chiefs were two hundred. And all their brothers acted at their mouth;


If you lie down among the sheepfolds, The wings of a dove are covered with silver, And her feathers with yellow gold.


And He chose Dawiḏ His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;


Then they came near to him and said, “Let us build sheep-enclosures here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones,


And of Zeḇulun he said, “Rejoice, O Zeḇulun, in your going out, and Yissasḵar in your tents!


And after Aḇimeleḵ there arose Tola son of Pu’ah, son of Doḏo, a man of Yissasḵar, to save Yisra’ĕl. And he dwelt in Shamur in the mountains of Ephrayim.
