25 And when He saw that He did not overcome him, He touched the socket of his hip. And the socket of Ya‛aqoḇ’s hip was dislocated as He wrestled with him.

Thus said יהוה, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, and his Maker, “Do you ask Me about My sons what is to come? And about the work of My hands do you command Me?


“Do not fear, you worm Ya‛aqoḇ, you men of Yisra’ĕl! I shall help you,” declares יהוה and your Redeemer, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.


That is why the children of Yisra’ĕl to this day do not eat the sinew of the hip, which is on the socket of the thigh, because He touched the socket of the thigh of Ya‛aqoḇ, in the sinew of the hip.


Hurry, escape there. For I am not able to do any deed until you arrive there. So the name of the city was called Tso‛ar.


And He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.


And Ya‛aqoḇ was left alone. And a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.


And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I am not letting You go until You have blessed me!”
