‘And do not lead us into trial, but deliver us from the wicked one – because Yours is the reign and the power and the esteem, forever. Amĕn.’


And uproar shall arise among your people, and all your strongholds shall be ravaged as Shalman ravaged Bĕyth Arbĕl in the day of battle – a mother dashed in pieces on her children.


“For if so, our Elah whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning furnace of fire and from your hand, O sovereign – He does deliver!


“Listen to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are too strong for me.


Redeem me from the oppression of man, That I might guard Your orders.


Rule me rightly, O Elohim, And plead my cause against a nation without loving-commitment. Oh, deliver me from a man of deceit and unrighteousness!


Incline Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be a rock of refuge to me, A house of defence to save me.


Shin Oh, guard my life, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in You.

“And יהוה shall be judge, and rightly rule between you and me, and see and plead my case, and rightly rule me out of your hand.”


“And they cried out to יהוה, and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken יהוה and served the Ba‛als and the Ashtaroth. And now, deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we serve You.’


And Ěsaw hated Ya‛aqoḇ because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Ěsaw said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father draw near, then I am going to kill my brother Ya‛aqoḇ.”


“When you come upon a bird’s nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the mother with the young –


And the words of Ěsaw her older son were reported to Riḇqah, and she sent and called Ya‛aqoḇ her younger son, and said to him, “See, your brother Ěsaw comforts himself concerning you, to kill you.


And Ya‛aqoḇ sent messengers before him to Ěsaw his brother in the land of Sĕ‛ir, the field of Eḏom


And Ya‛aqoḇ was greatly afraid and distressed. So he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks and herds and camels, into two groups,


And Ěsaw ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.


And he said, “Blessed be יהוה Elohim of my master Aḇraham, who has not forsaken His loving-commitment and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, יהוה led me to the house of my master’s brothers.”


And Sovereign Dawiḏ went in and sat before יהוה and he said, “Who am I, O Master יהוה? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?
