“And I shall make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that, if a man could count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be counted.


And He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So are your seed.”


“And as for Yishma‛ĕl, I have heard you. See, I shall bless him, and shall make him fruitful, and greatly increase him. He is to bring forth twelve princes, and I shall make him a great nation.


since Aḇraham is certainly going to become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?


“For I have known him, so that he commands his children and his household after him, to guard the way of יהוה, to do righteousness and right-ruling, so that יהוה brings to Aḇraham what He has spoken to him.


Thus it came to be, when Elohim destroyed the cities of the plain, that Elohim remembered Aḇraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.


And Aḇraham was old, advanced in years. And יהוה had blessed Aḇraham in every way.


“And יהוה has blessed my master exceedingly, and he has become great. And He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and male and female servants, and camels and donkeys.


And it came to be, after the death of Aḇraham, that Elohim blessed his son Yitsḥaq. And Yitsḥaq dwelt at Be’ĕr Laḥai Ro’i.


“Sojourn in this land. And I shall be with you and bless you, for I give all these lands to you and your seed. And I shall establish the oath which I swore to Aḇraham your father.


And I shall increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I shall give all these lands to your seed. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,”


Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be master over your brothers, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be those cursing you, and blessed be those blessing you!”


“And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall break forth to the west and to the east, to the north and the south. And all the clans of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed.


And Elohim said to him, “I am Ěl Shaddai. Be fruitful and increase, a nation and a company of nations shall be from you, and sovereigns come from your body.


And He said, “I am the Ěl, Elohim of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Mitsrayim, for I shall make you there into a great nation.


“And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are on the earth.


“And further, the servants of the sovereign have gone to bless our master Sovereign Dawiḏ, saying, ‘Let your Elohim make the name of Shelomoh better than your name, and his throne greater than your throne.’ And the sovereign bowed himself on the bed.


Your wrong is for a man like yourself, and your righteousness for a son of man.


And He blesses them, And they increase greatly; And He lets not their cattle diminish.


And the children of Yisra’ĕl were fruitful and increased very much, multiplied and became very strong, and the land was filled with them.


And now, let Me alone, that My wrath might burn against them and I consume them and I make of you a great nation.


“Look to Aḇraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you. For he was alone when I called him, and I blessed him and increased him.


“And I shall make them and the places all around My hill a blessing, and shall cause showers to come down in their season – showers of blessing they are.


You give truth to Ya‛aqoḇ, loving-commitment to Aḇraham, which You swore to our fathers from the days of old!


And it shall be, as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Yehuḏah and house of Yisra’ĕl, so I shall save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear, let your hands be strong.’


Let Me strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.


And Elohim said to Bil‛am, “Do not go with them. You do not curse the people, for they are blessed.”


“See, I have received, to bless. And He has blessed, and I do not reverse it.


And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the belief while in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be reckoned to them also,


in order that the blessing of Aḇraham might come upon the nations in Messiah יהושע, to receive the promise of the Spirit through belief.


Know, then, that those who are of belief are sons of Aḇraham.


“And you shall answer and say before יהוה your Elohim, ‘My father was a perishing Aramean, and he went down to Mitsrayim and sojourned there with few men. And there he became a nation, great, mighty, and numerous.
