From these the coastland peoples of the nations were separated into their lands, everyone according to his language, according to their clans, into their nations.


And the name of the second river is Giḥon, it is the one surrounding the entire land of Kush.


And Noaḥ was five hundred years old, and Noaḥ brought forth Shĕm, Ḥam, and Yapheth.


And the sons of Noaḥ who went out of the ark were Shĕm and Ḥam and Yapheth. And Ḥam was the father of Kena‛an.


And Ḥam, the father of Kena‛an, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.


and they found rich, good pasture, and the land was broad, undisturbed and safe, for some Ḥamites had dwelt there formerly.


Then Yisra’ĕl came to Mitsrayim, And Ya‛aqoḇ sojourned in the land of Ḥam.


They set among them the matters of His signs, And wonders in the land of Ḥam.


Of wonders in the land of Ḥam, Of awesome deeds by the Sea of Reeds.


And He struck all the first-born in Mitsrayim, The first-fruits of strength in the tents of Ḥam,


And it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shin‛ar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.


Go up, O horses, and rage, O chariots! And let the mighty men go forth – Kush and Put who handle the shield, and Luḏ who handle and bend the bow.


“Those from Persia, Luḏ, and Put were in your army as men of battle. Shield and helmet they hung up within you, they gave splendour to you.


“Persia, Kush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet,
