On that night the sleep of the sovereign fled, and he commanded to bring the book of the records of the annals. And they were read before the sovereign.


The word that came to Yirmeyahu concerning all the people of Yehuḏah, in the fourth year of Yehoyaqim son of Yoshiyahu, the sovereign of Yehuḏah, which was the first year of Neḇuḵaḏretstsar sovereign of Baḇel,


And the sovereign said to them, “I have had a dream, and my spirit is troubled to know the dream.”


I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders which the Most High Elah has worked for me.


I saw a dream and it frightened me, and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head alarmed me.


Then Sovereign Bĕlshatstsar was greatly alarmed, and his colour changed, and his great men were puzzled.


And the sovereign went to his palace and spent the night fasting. And no entertainment was brought before him, and his sleep fled from him.


In the first year of Bĕlshatstsar sovereign of Baḇel, Dani’ĕl had a dream and visions of his head on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, giving a summary of the matters.


“As for me, Dani’ĕl, my spirit was pierced within my body, and the visions of my head alarmed me.
