“But you said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you do not see my face again.’


But we said, ‘We are not able to go down. If our youngest brother is with us, then we shall go down, for we are not able to see the man’s face unless our youngest brother is with us.’ ”


And Aḇnĕr sent messengers on his behalf to Dawiḏ, saying, “Whose is the land?” saying also, “Make your covenant with me, and see, my hand is with you to bring all Yisra’ĕl to you.”


And it came to be, as the ark of the covenant of יהוה came to the City of Dawiḏ, that Miḵal the daughter of Sha’ul, looking through a window, saw Sovereign Dawiḏ dancing and playing. And she despised him in her heart.
