“Thus said יהוה, ‘See, I am raising up evil against you, from your own house, and shall take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbour, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.


And the sovereign said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Tseruyah? For let him curse, even because יהוה has said to him, ‘Curse Dawiḏ.’ And who should say, ‘Why did you do that?’ ”


And Sovereign Yehoram went out of Shomeron at that time and mustered all Yisra’ĕl.


And Satan stood up against Yisra’ĕl, and moved Dawiḏ to number Yisra’ĕl.


And the sons of Tola: Uzzi, and Rephayah, and Yeri’ĕl, and Yaḥmai, and Yiḇsam, and Shemu’ĕl, heads of their father’s house. Of Tola there were great men of might in their generations; their number in the days of Dawiḏ was twenty-two thousand six hundred.


All these were the children of Ashĕr, heads of their fathers’ houses, chosen ones, mighty brave men, chief leaders. And when they registered by genealogy for the army, for battle, their number was twenty-six thousand.


However, Ḥizqiyahu did not repay according to the good done to him, for his heart was lifted up, therefore wrath came upon him and upon Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim.


“But I am going to harden the heart of Pharaoh, and shall increase My signs and My wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.


“And if the prophet is deceived, and shall speak a word, I יהוה have deceived that prophet, and shall stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from the midst of My people Yisra’ĕl.


“And I also gave them up to laws that were not good, and right-rulings by which they would not live.


And Mosheh said to Aharon, and to El‛azar and to Ithamar, his sons, “Do not unbind your heads nor tear your garments, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brothers, all the house of Yisra’ĕl, bewail the burning which יהוה has kindled.


As יהוה commanded Mosheh, so he registered them in the Wilderness of Sinai.


to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose decided before to be done.


And for this reason Elohim sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood,


And the displeasure of יהוה burned against Yisra’ĕl. Therefore He gave them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them. And He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, and they were unable to stand before their enemies any longer.


And the displeasure of יהוה burned against Yisra’ĕl, and He said, “Because this nation has transgressed My covenant that I commanded their fathers, and has not obeyed My voice,


“And now, please, let my master the sovereign hear the words of his servant: If יהוה has moved you against me, let Him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, then they are cursed before יהוה, for they have driven me out today that I should not join myself to the inheritance of יהוה, saying, ‘Go, serve other mighty ones.’
