And Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu killed one hundred and twenty thousand in Yehuḏah in one day, all brave men, because they had forsaken יהוה Elohim of their fathers.


And Aḇshalom did this to all Yisra’ĕl who came to the sovereign for right-ruling. And Aḇshalom stole the hearts of the men of Yisra’ĕl.


But the servants of Dawiḏ had stricken, of Binyamin and Aḇnĕr’s men, three hundred and sixty men who died.


And Aḇnĕr called to Yo’aḇ and said, “Should the sword devour forever? Do you not know that it is bitter in the latter end? And when are you going to say to the people to turn back from pursuing their brothers?”


And the battle was fierce that day, and Aḇnĕr and the men of Yisra’ĕl were smitten before the servants of Dawiḏ.


So the people went out into the field to meet Yisra’ĕl. And the battle was in the forest of Ephrayim,


And the battle there was scattered over the face of all the land, and the forest devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.


Who gives deliverance to sovereigns, Who rescues Dawiḏ His servant From the evil sword.
