2 And the sovereign said to Tsiḇa, “Why do you have these?” And Tsiḇa said, “The donkeys are for the sovereign’s household to ride on, and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for the wearied to drink in the wilderness.”

“And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’


And he had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys. And they had thirty towns, which are called Hawoth Yair to this day, which are in the land of Gil‛aḏ.


“You who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on rich carpets, and you who walk along the way, declare it!


Then one of the people said, “Your father strictly took an oath of the people, saying, ‘Cursed be the man who eats food today.’ ” And the people were weary.


“And now this present which your female servant has brought to my master, let it be given to the young men who follow my master.
