And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, and followed the sins of Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin. He did not turn away from them.


However, they did not turn away from the sins of the house of Yaroḇ‛am, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin, but walked in them. Moreover, the Ashĕrah also remained in Shomeron.

And the children of Yisra’ĕl walked in all the sins of Yaroḇ‛am which he did. They did not turn away from them,


until יהוה removed Yisra’ĕl from His presence, as He spoke by all His servants the prophets. So Yisra’ĕl was exiled from their land to Ashshur, as it is to this day.


And also, Menashsheh shed very much innocent blood, until he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another, besides his sin with which he made Yehuḏah sin, in doing evil in the eyes of יהוה.


And also the slaughter-place that was at Bĕyth Ěl, and the high place which Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat made, by which he made Yisra’ĕl sin, both that slaughter-place and the high place he broke down. And he burned the high place and ground it to dust, and burned the Ashĕrah.
