And He said, “Your name is no longer called Ya‛aqoḇ, but Yisra’ĕl, because you have striven with Elohim and with men, and have overcome.”


Though he speaks kindly, do not believe him, For there are seven abominations in his heart.


“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall prove wrong. This is the inheritance of the servants of יהוה, and their righteousness from Me,” declares יהוה.


He strove with the Messenger and overcame, he wept and sought His favour. He found Him in Bĕyth Ěl, and there He spoke to us –


Who shall separate us from the love of the Messiah? Shall pressure, or distress, or persecution, or scarcity of food, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?


But in all this we are more than overcomers through Him who loved us.


“For if a man finds his enemy, shall he let him get away safely? And let יהוה reward you with good for what you have done to me today.


“And now look, I know that you shall certainly reign, and that the reign of Yisra’ĕl shall be established in your hand.


And Dawiḏ swore to Sha’ul. Then Sha’ul went home, and Dawiḏ and his men went up to the stronghold.
