Ben-Aḇinaḏaḇ, all the height of Dor, Taphath the daughter of Shelomoh became his wife;


Yishai brought forth Eliyaḇ his first-born, and Aḇinaḏaḇ the second, and Shim‛a the third,


Yehuḏah: Elihu, one of Dawiḏ’s brothers; Yissasḵar: Omri son of Miḵa’ĕl;


“Yet יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl chose me above all the house of my father to be sovereign over Yisra’ĕl forever, for He has chosen Yehuḏah to be the ruler. And of the house of Yehuḏah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me reign over all Yisra’ĕl.


And Reḥaḇ‛am took for himself as wife Maḥalath the daughter of Yerimoth son of Dawiḏ, and of Aḇiḥayil the daughter of Eliyaḇ son of Yishai.


O Elohim, see our shield, And look upon the face of Your anointed.


And he said to Zeḇaḥ and Tsalmunna, “How were the men whom you killed at Taḇor?” So they answered, “They were like you, each one looked like the son of a sovereign.”


And the three oldest sons of Yishai went, they had gone to follow Sha’ul to the battle, and the names of his three sons who went to the battle were Eliyaḇ the first-born, and his second Aḇinaḏaḇ, and the third Shammah.


And Dawiḏ left his supplies in the hand of the keeper of the supplies, and ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
