For יהוה  had caused the army of the Arameans to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses, the noise of a great army, and they said to each other, “Look, the sovereign of Yisra’ĕ


For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, my spirit drinks in their poison, the onslaughts of Eloah are arrayed against me.


He is not afraid of an evil report. His heart is steadfast, trusting in יהוה.


Therefore we do not fear, Though the earth reels And mountains topple into the heart of the seas.


The wrong shall flee though no one pursues, But the righteous are as bold as a lion.


All of them holding swords, Skilled in battle, Each one has his sword on his thigh Because of fear in the night.


My heart reeled, horror overwhelmed me; the night for which I longed He turned into fear for me.


“When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through rivers, they do not overflow you. When you walk through fire, you are not scorched, and a flame does not burn you.


And He said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little belief?” Then, having risen, He rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm.


“But Elohim said to him, ‘You mindless one! This night your life shall be demanded from you. And who shall own what you have prepared?’


“And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief comes, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.


so that we boldly say, “יהוה  is my helper, I shall not fear what man shall do to me.”
