The fear of יהוה  is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and discipline.


Leave the presence of a foolish man, For you shall not perceive the lips of knowledge.


But they were silent and answered him not a word, for the command of the sovereign was, “Do not answer him.”


“Do not give what is set-apart to the dogs, nor throw your pearls before the pigs, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.


And the Pharisees, who loved silver, also heard all this, and were sneering at Him,


and many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad, why do you listen to Him?”


And those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind, too?”


And some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some were saying, “What does this babbler wish to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of strange mighty ones” – because to them he brought the Good News: יהושע  and the resurrection!


And hearing of the resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked, while others said, “We shall hear you again concerning this.”
