“As for you, my son Shelomoh, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a pleasing life, for יהוה  searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you do seek Him, He is found by you; but if you forsake Him, He rejects you forever.


Let the righteous one smite me Or reprove me in kindness – It is oil on my head. Let my head not refuse it. My prayer is still against their evil deeds.

Proverbs of Shelomoh: A wise son makes a father rejoice, But a foolish son is his mother’s sorrow.


A wise son accepts his father’s discipline, But a scoffer shall not listen to rebuke.


Poverty and shame are for him Who ignores discipline, But he who heeds reproof is esteemed.


A healing tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it crushes the spirit.


The household of the righteous is a great treasure, But in the income of the wrong is trouble.


Listen to counsel and accept discipline, So that you are wise in your latter end.


A ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, Is a wise one’s reproof to an ear that hears.


For the command is a lamp, And the Torah a light, And reproofs of discipline a way of life,


This witness is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, in order for them to be sound in the belief,


Speak these matters, urge, and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
