“For I too am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”


and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’


“And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against the heaven, and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’


the One coming after me, who has become before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loosen.”
