“But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and more than a prophet.


“But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the crowd, for all hold Yoḥ


“But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people shall stone us, for they are persuaded that Yoḥ


And having threatened them further, they released them, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, because they were all praising Elohim for what had been done.


Then the captain went with the officers and brought them, not with force, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
