And as He was setting out on the way, one came running, and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?”


“And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Master needs it and shall send it back straightaway.’ ”


And He sent out two of His taught ones and said to them, “Go into the city, and there a man bearing a jar of water shall meet you, follow him.


“And he shall show you a large upper room, furnished, ready. Prepare for us there.”


“And you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I might eat the Passover with My taught ones?” ’


And having said this she went away and called her sister Miryam secretly, saying, “The Teacher is here and calls you.”


“You call me Teacher and Master, and you say well, for I am.


“See, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I shall come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
