And the beginning of his reign was Baḇ


That is why its name was called Baḇ


“The Spirit of יהוה  has spoken through me, And His word is on my tongue.


And the sovereign of Ashshur brought people from Baḇ


While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, and made a raid on the camels and took them away, and they smote the servants with the edge of the sword. And I alone have escaped to inform you!”


that you shall take up this proverb against the sovereign of Baḇ


See the land of the Chaldeans – this people did not exist. Ashshur founded it for wild beasts of the desert. They set up their siege-towers, they demolished her palaces, and made her a ruin.


‘And it shall be, when seventy years are completed, that I shall punish the sovereign of Baḇ


‘And all nations shall serve him and his son and his son’s son, until the time of his land comes. And then many nations and great sovereigns shall make him serve them.


In the third year of the reign of Yehoyaqim, sovereign of Yehuḏ


“Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Ḥ


for prophecy never came by the desire of man, but men of Elohim spoke, being moved by the Set-apart Spirit.
