Let them praise His Name in a dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre.


You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have torn off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,


Do good in Your good pleasure to Tsiyon; Build the walls of Yerushalayim.


For Elohim shall save Tsiyon And build the cities of Yehuḏ


Because יהוה  has compassion on Yaʽ


And every passage of the ordained staff which יהוה  lays on him, shall be with tambourines and lyres, when He shall fight with it, battling with a brandishing arm.


this is the word which יהוה  has spoken concerning him, “The maiden, the daughter of Tsiyon, has despised you, mocked you; the daughter of Yerushalayim has shaken her head behind you!


“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the reigns, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”


“And you shall say this word to them, ‘Let my eyes flow with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the maiden daughter of my people has been crushed with a mighty blow, with a very severe wound.


Therefore thus said יהוה, “Ask now among the nations, who has heard the like of this? The maiden of Yisra’ĕ


‘And I shall set My eyes on them for good, and shall bring them back to this land. And I shall build them and not pull them down, and shall plant them and not pluck them up.


“Then shall a maiden rejoice in a dance, and young men and old, together. And I shall turn their mourning to joy, and shall comfort them, and shall make them rejoice from their sorrow,


“Set up signposts, make landmarks; set your heart toward the highway, the way in which you went. Turn back, O maiden of Yisra’ĕ


“See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “that the city shall be built for יהוה  from the Tower of Ḥ


‘And I shall turn back the captivity of Yehuḏ


“יהוה  has trodden down all my strong men in my midst, He has called an appointed time Against me to crush my young men. יהוה  has trodden down as in a winepress The maiden daughter of Yehuḏ


How shall I admonish you, To what shall I compare you, O daughter of Yerushalayim? To what shall I liken you to comfort you, O maiden daughter of Tsiyon? For your breach is as great as the sea. Who shall heal you?


“In that day I shall raise up the booth of Dawiḏ


‘And bring the fattened calf here and slaughter it, and let us eat and rejoice,


‘After this I shall return and rebuild the Booth of Dawiḏ
