And יהוה  said, “I am going to wipe off man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping creature and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”


And the messenger stretched out His hand over Yerushalayim to destroy it, and יהוה  relented concerning the evil, and said to the messenger who was destroying the people, “It is enough, now stop Your hand.” And the messenger of יהוה  was by the threshing-floor of Arawnah the Yeḇ


And Elohim sent a messenger to Yerushalayim to destroy it. And as he was destroying, יהוה  saw, and relented about the evil, and said to the messenger who was destroying, “Enough! Now stop your hand.” And the messenger of יהוה  was standing by the threshing-floor of Ornan the Yeḇ


And remember His covenant for their sake, And relent according to the greatness of His kindness.


יהוה  has sworn and does not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Malkitseḏ


I saw traitors and was grieved, Because they did not guard Your word.


How often they rebelled against Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert!


“O, if My people had listened to Me, Yisra’ĕ


“For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘They are a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’


And יהוה  relented from the evil which He said He would do to His people.


“If only you had listened to My commands! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.


But they rebelled and grieved His Set-apart Spirit, so He turned against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.


“The moment I speak concerning a nation and concerning a reign, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it,


“Say to them, ‘As I live,’ declares the Master יהוה, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wrong, but that the wrong turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Yisra’ĕ


“How could I give you up, Ephrayim? How could I hand you over, Yisra’ĕ


And tear your heart and not your garments, and turn back to יהוה  your Elohim, for He shows favour and is compassionate, patient, and of great kindness, and He shall relent concerning the evil.


And Elohim saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And Elohim relented from the evil which He had said He would do to them, and He did not do it.


“For I am יהוה, I shall not change, and you, O sons of Yaʽ


For the gifts and the calling of Elohim are not to be repented of.


And do not grieve the Set-apart Spirit of Elohim, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.


“If they were wise, They would understand this, They would consider their latter end!


“For יהוה  rightly rules His people And has compassion on His servants, When He sees that their power is gone, And there is no one remaining, Shut up or at large.


‘Oh, that they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and to guard all My commands always, so that it might be well with them and with their children forever!


“Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’


And with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?


Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning.


“I am grieved that I have set up Sha’ul as sovereign, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My words.” And it displeased Shemu’ĕ


“Moreover, the Eminence of Yisra’ĕ
