And he said to him, “Please go and see if it is well with your brothers and well with the sheep, and bring back word to me.” So he sent him out of the Valley of Ḥ


And they came to the threshing-floor of Ataḏ


And they mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Sha’ul and for Yehonathan his son, and for the people of יהוה  and for the house of Yisra’ĕ


And all the elders of Yisra’ĕ


And to the sons of Aharon they gave the cities of refuge: Ḥ


And Yirmeyahu lamented for Yoshiyahu. And to this day all the singing men and the singing women speak of Yoshiyahu in their lamentations, and made it a law in Yisra’ĕ


And at the villages with their fields, some of the children of Yehuḏ


Do not weep for the dead, nor mourn for him. Weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he shall never come back nor see the land of his birth.


Therefore thus said יהוה  concerning Yehoyaqim son of Yoshiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏ


And they went up through the South and came to Ḥ


And when all the congregation saw that Aharon was dead, all the house of Yisra’ĕ


And dedicated men buried Stephanos, and made great lamentation over him.


and captured it and its sovereign and all its cities. And they smote them with the edge of the sword and put all the people who were in it under the ban, he left no survivor. As he had done to Ḥ


And they gave them Qiryath Arba, that is Ḥ


“For as long as the son of Yishai lives on the earth, you shall not be established, you and your reign. And now, send and bring him to me, for he is a son of death.”
