3 “Now then, let us make a covenant with our Elohim to put away all these wives and those who have been born to them, according to the counsel of יהוה  and of those who tremble at the command of our Elohim. And let it be done according to the Torah.

Also the hand of Elohim was on Yehuḏ


“Go, inquire of יהוה  for me, and for him who is left in Yisra’ĕ


“Because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before Elohim when you heard His words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your garments and wept before Me, I also have heard,” declares יהוה.


“And now, make confession to יהוה  Elohim of your fathers, and do His desire, and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the foreign women.”


All these had taken foreign women, and some of them had women who had borne children.


Then all the men of Yehuḏ


Then all those who trembled at the words of the Elohim of Yisra’ĕ


And those who set their seal were: Neḥ


And they found written in the Torah, which יהוה  had commanded by Mosheh, that the children of Yisra’ĕ


“And because of all this, we are making a trustworthy pledge, and write it. And our rulers, our Lĕ


My flesh has trembled for fear of You, And I am in awe of Your right-rulings.


I have thought upon my ways, And turned my feet to Your witnesses.


“And all these My hand have made, and all these that exist,” declares יהוה. “Yet to such a one I look: on him who is poor and bruised of spirit, and who trembles at My Word.


To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no daybreak.


and יהוה  said to him, “Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Yerushalayim, and you shall put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”


so that you should enter into covenant with יהוה  your Elohim, and into His oath, which יהוה  your Elohim makes with you today,


And they went to Yehoshua, to the camp at Gilgal, and said to him and to the men of Yisra’ĕ
