When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise; But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.


“However, let no one strive or reprove another, for your people are like those striving with a priest.


“Thus said יהוה  of hosts, ‘If you walk in My ways, and if you guard My duty, then you shall also rule My house, and also guard My courts. And I shall give you access among these standing here.


‘But the being who does whatever defiantly, whether he is native or a stranger, he reviles יהוה, and that being shall be cut off from among his people.


‘Because he has despised the word of יהוה, and has broken His command, that being shall certainly be cut off, his crookedness is upon him.’ ”


“And whoever does not receive you nor hear your words, when you leave that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.


“He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”


“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him: the Word that I have spoken shall judge him in the last day.


“If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”


But Elohim judges those who are outside. And put away the wicked one from among you!


“So I spoke to you, but you would not listen and rebelled against the mouth of יהוה, and acted proudly, and went up into the mountain.


At that time יהוה  separated the tribe of Lĕ


“And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams is put to death, because he has spoken apostasy against יהוה  your Elohim – who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim and redeemed you from the house of bondage – to make you stray from the way in which יהוה  your Elohim commanded you to walk. Thus you shall purge the evil from your midst.


“When your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own being, entices you secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other mighty ones’– which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers,


“And let all the people hear and fear, and no longer do arrogantly.


“The hand of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and the hand of all the people last. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.


‘But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other mighty ones, even that prophet shall die.’


“For יהוה  your Elohim has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to serve in the Name of יהוה, him and his sons forever.


then he shall serve in the Name of יהוה  his Elohim, like all his brothers the Lĕ


for you know what commands we gave you through the Master יהושע.


Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but Elohim, who also gives us His Set-apart Spirit.


Reprove those who are sinning, in the presence of all, so that the rest also might fear.


“Whoever rebels against your command and does not obey your words, in all that you command him, is put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”


“And now, give us the men, the sons of Beliyaʽ


“For I have declared to him that I am judging his house forever for the crookedness which he knows, because his sons cursed Elohim, and he did not rebuke them.
