And while Ezra was praying, and while he was confessing, weeping, and bowing down before the House of Elohim, a very large assembly – men and women and children – gathered unto him from Yisra’ĕ


and I said, “I pray, יהוה  Elohim of the heavens, O great and awesome Ě


“And now, our Elohim, the great, the mighty, and awesome Ě


I acknowledged my sin to You, And my crookedness I did not hide. I have said, “I confess my transgressions to יהוה,” And You forgave the crookedness of my sin. Selah.


but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.


‘Only, acknowledge your crookedness, because you have transgressed against יהוה  your Elohim, and have scattered your ways to strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice,’ declares יהוה.


‘And they came in and possessed it, but they did not obey Your voice nor did they walk in Your Torah. They did not do all that You commanded them to do, so You brought all this evil upon them.


So I set my face toward יהוה  the Elohim to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.


to show compassion toward our fathers and to remember His set-apart covenant,


And we know that all matters work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to His purpose.


but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.


“And it shall be, because you hear these right-rulings, and shall guard and do them, that יהוה  your Elohim shall guard with you the covenant and the kindness which He swore to your fathers,


“Do not be afraid of them, for יהוה  your Elohim, the great and awesome Ě


“And you shall know that יהוה  your Elohim, He is Elohim, the trustworthy Ě


Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him.


Listen, my beloved brothers: Has Elohim not chosen the poor of this world, rich in belief and heirs of the reign which He promised to those who love Him?
