The simple shall inherit folly, But the clever are crowned with knowledge.


The wisdom of the clever is to understand His way, But the folly of fools is deceit.


The heart of the understanding one gets knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.


Who is wise and understands these words, discerning and knows them? For the ways of יהוה  are straight, and the righteous walk in them, but the transgressors stumble in them.


And having seen what took place, the proconsul believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Master.


But Elumas the magician – for so his name is translated – withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the belief.
