The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of Elohim came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, the men of name.


And it came to be afterward, that there was a battle again with the Philistines at Goḇ


And there was a battle in Gath again, where there was a man of great height, who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number. And he also was descended from the giants.


These four were born to the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of Dawiḏ


And the Philistines came and spread themselves out in the Valley of Repha’im.


And they went up through the South and came to Ḥ


“But the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are walled, very great. And we saw the descendants of Anaq there too.


‘Where are we going to? Our brothers have made our hearts melt, saying, “The people are greater and taller than we, the cities are great and walled up to the heavens, and we saw the sons of the Anaqim there too.” ’


They were also reckoned as Repha’ites, like the Anaqim, but the Mo’aḇ


a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anaqim. But יהוה  destroyed them before them, and they dispossessed them and dwelt in their place,


“For only Og sovereign of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Repha’ites. See, his bedstead was an iron bedstead. Is it not in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the cubit of a man.


a people great and tall, the descendants of the Anaqim, whom you know, and of whom you heard it said, ‘Who does stand before the descendants of Anaq?’


There were none of the Anaqim left in the land of the children of Yisra’ĕ


And the wood of his spear was like a weaver’s beam, and his iron spearhead weighed six hundred sheqels, and a shield-bearer went before him.
