2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, [half] sister of Ahaziah, stole Joash son of Ahaziah from among the king's sons, who were to be slain, even him and his nurse, and hid them from Athaliah in an inner storeroom for beds; so he was not slain.

2 But Jehosheba, King Jehoram’s daughter and Ahaziah’s sister, secretly took Ahaziah’s son Jehoash from the rest of the royal children who were about to be murdered and hid him in a bedroom along with his nurse. In this way Jehoash was hidden from Athaliah and wasn’t murdered.

And he built the side rooms of the structure against all the House, each five cubits high, and they were fastened to the House with cedar beams.


The doorway for the middle side room was on the right side of the House. And they went up by stairs to the middle side rooms, and from the middle to the third.


Yeho’ash was seven years old when he began to reign.


And he remained with her in hiding in the House of יהוה  for six years, while Athalyah was reigning over the land.


Yeho’ash began to reign in the seventh year of Yĕ


And in the fifth year of Yehoram son of Aḥ


However, יהוה  would not destroy Yehuḏ


“And the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and shall come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the houses of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading bowls,


There is no wisdom or understanding Or counsel against יהוה.


‘And I shall defend this city, to save it for My own sake and for the sake of My servant Dawiḏ


“For thus said יהוה, ‘For Dawiḏ


then My covenant could also be broken with Dawiḏ


then I would also reject the descendants of Yaʽ


“Go to the house of the Rĕ


And the sovereign commanded Yeraḥ


And he said to me, “This room facing south is for the priests who guard the duty of the House.


And he went to his father’s house at Ophrah and slew his brothers, the seventy sons of Yerubbaʽ
