15 Then the priest Jehoiada ordered the unit commanders who were in charge of the army: “Take her out under guard,” he told them, “and kill anyone who follows her.” This was because the priest had said, “She must not be executed in the LORD’s temple.”

“But when a man acts presumptuously against his neighbour, to kill him by treachery, you are to take him even from My altar to die.


“And you, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together. And let the sword come down twice, thrice, the sword for the slain. It is the sword of the slain, the great one, which surrounds them.


And He said to them, “Defile the House, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” And they went out and smote in the city.


And the entire city was moved, and the people rushed together, seized Sha’ul, and dragged him out of the Set-apart Place. And immediately the doors were shut.
