‘And it shall be, if you obey all that I command you, and shall walk in My ways, and do what is right in My eyes, to guard My laws and My commands, as My servant Dawiḏ


And the days that Shelomoh reigned in Yerushalayim over all Yisra’ĕ


Thus Shelomoh did evil in the eyes of יהוה, and did not follow יהוה  completely, like his father Dawiḏ


Therefore יהוה  was enraged with Shelomoh, because his heart had turned away from יהוה  Elohim of Yisra’ĕ


But the high places were not removed. However, Asa’s heart was perfect with יהוה  all his days.


And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him, and his heart was not perfect to יהוה  his Elohim, as was the heart of his father Dawiḏ


And Shelomoh loved יהוה, walking in the laws of his father Dawiḏ


And it came to be, in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Yisra’ĕ


“Let your heart therefore be perfect to יהוה  our Elohim, to walk in His laws and guard His commands, as at this day.”


And it came to be, at the end of twenty years, that Shelomoh had built the two houses, the House of יהוה  and the house of the sovereign.


“And you, if you walk before Me as your father Dawiḏ


“I pray to You, O יהוה, remember how I have walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done what was good in Your eyes.” And Ḥ


“As for you, my son Shelomoh, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a pleasing life, for יהוה  searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you do seek Him, He is found by you; but if you forsake Him, He rejects you forever.


“And give my son Shelomoh a perfect heart to guard Your commands and Your witnesses and Your laws, to do all, and to build the palace for which I have prepared.”


And יהוה  was with Yehoshaphat, for he walked in the former ways of his father Dawiḏ


And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, but not with a perfect heart.


And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, and walked in the ways of his father Dawiḏ


“You have no other mighty ones against My face.


“And he is not to increase wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, nor is he to greatly increase silver and gold for himself.


for he turns your sons away from following Me, to serve other mighty ones. Then the displeasure of יהוה  shall burn against you and promptly destroy you.
