Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.


Now therefore, what do I here, saith the LORD, seeing that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them do howl, saith the LORD, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.


Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.


Woe unto the world because of occasions of stumbling! for it must needs be that the occasions come; but woe to that man through whom the occasion cometh!


I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, give none occasion to the adversary for reviling:


Let as many as are servants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and the doctrine be not blasphemed.


to be soberminded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed:


sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.


And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of.
