But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.


When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding; therefore he that made them will not have compassion upon them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.


And if there be yet a tenth in it, it shall again be eaten up: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remaineth, when they are felled; so the holy seed is the stock thereof.


The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair with goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.


Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly; and they offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.

For if thou wast cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and wast grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?


We being Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,


to wit, that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,


a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of oil olives and honey;


And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he quicken together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;


These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, standing before the Lord of the earth.
