Thou art the LORD, even thou alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things that are thereon, the seas and all that is in them, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.


Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God:

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I lifted up mine hand to give unto your fathers.


and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, Saying, I am the LORD your God;


therefore thus saith the Lord GOD I have lifted up mine hand, saying, Surely the heathen that are round about you, they shall bear their shame.


And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another; concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.


And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.


and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good tidings, that ye should turn from these vain things unto the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is:


For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD What therefore ye worship in ignorance, this set I forth unto you.


For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:


For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,


For when God made promise to Abraham, since he could swear by none greater, he sware by himself,


and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.


and he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left upon the earth;


and he saith with a great voice, Fear God, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgement is come: and worship him that made the heaven and the earth and sea and fountains of waters.


And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done:


Worthy art thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honour and the power: for thou didst create all things, and because of thy will they were, and were created.


And when the living creatures shall give glory and honour and thanks to him that sitteth on the throne, to him that liveth for ever and ever,
