So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.


And Esther said, An adversary and an enemy, even this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.


That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless but for a moment?


For thou art the God of my strength; why hast thou cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?


They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression: They speak loftily.


How long, O LORD, wilt thou be angry for ever? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire?


O LORD God of hosts, How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?


How long, O LORD, wilt thou hid thyself for ever? How long shall thy wrath burn like fire?


O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard; rest, and be still.


O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? I cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save.


and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
