In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.


And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:


And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose.


And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.


But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have builded!

O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonour? How long will ye love vanity, And seek after falsehood? Selah


Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, Upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.


For all the gods of the peoples are idols: But the LORD made the heavens.


And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.


All the nations are as nothing before him; they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

having your behaviour seemly among the Gentiles; that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
