The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.


Upright men shall be astonied at this, And the innocent shall stir up himself against the godless.


Wherefore do the wicked live, Become old, yea, wax mighty in power?


God giveth them to be in security, and they rest thereon; And his eyes are upon their ways.


His ways are firm at all times; Thy judgements are far above out of his sight: As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.


Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.


Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.


Let not thine heart envy sinners: But be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long:


Be not thou envious against evil men, Neither desire to be with them.


Envy thou not the man of violence, And choose none of his ways.


All this have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a righteous man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his evil-doing.


Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet would I reason the cause with thee: wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they at ease that deal very treacherously?


And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are built up; yea, they tempt God, and are delivered.


Or think ye that the scripture speaketh in vain? Doth the spirit which he made to dwell in us long unto envying?
