He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten: He hideth his face; he will never see it.


Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God, And say in his heart, Thou wilt not require it?


His mouth was smooth as butter, But his heart was war: His words were softer than oil, Yet were they drawn swords.


My soul is among lions; I lie among them that are set on fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword.


And they say, How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?


They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.


There is that speaketh rashly like the piercings of a sword: But the tongue of the wise is health.


The tongue of the wise uttereth knowledge aright: But the mouth of fools poureth out folly.


The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.


Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD did choose, he hath cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.


The lips of those that rose up against me, and their imagination against me all the day.


Ye offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
